Black & White

Hiya All,

I'm back again in record time too.  What is it about the Black and White colour scheme that always seems so elegant.  It is really so simple to put together but it is always so striking.  One of my challenges for last months Stamp Club was a wedding card.  For some reason wedding cards usually bring on a case of card makers block, but this time I knew just what I wanted to do.

I really love the Loving Thoughts sentiment stamp set it's so versatile and I love how the letters flow.  It's sure been getting a work out.  I couldn't resist the Basic Black/Grey Striped Satin ribbon that's in the Holiday Catalogue p26.  I wanted to make a project with it that wasn't Halloween related and this was just perfect.

Even though it's a bit hard to see the Delicate Doilies are layered one on top of the other, Large, Middle sized and then smallest.  No that's not dust specks on the camera lens those little specks on the black are actually the sparkle from the Shimmer Spritz.  Sorry that's just my poor photography skills... lol.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Loving Thoughts
Ink:  Basic Black
Card: Whisper White, Basic Black
Big Shot etc: Large Delicate Doilies
Accessories: Basic Black/Gray Striped Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels, Shimmer Spritz Isocol & Frost White Shimmer Paint), Adhesive, Dimensionals

Beautiful Beau Chateau

Hi All

The card I'm posting today is one we made at the mystery night a little while ago.  I also used it as one of my swaps at convention.  I just loved the simplicity of the layout and the sweet punch art flowers.  All pulled together with the gorgeous Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper.  This card even strikes me as a little bit vintage...

I've got the fire going and it's nice and toasty, I'm hoping that the weather sets in and I'll be holed up in the house all weekend.... oh what to do.... chores, cooking, no way I'm thinking it's time to stamp.  Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Project Recipe:
Stamps: Loving Thoughts ( it does say thoughts of you... but my photo's a bit dark sorry)
Ink:  Soft Suede
Card: Soft Suede, Pink Pirhouette, Beau Chateau DSP
Punches: 1 3/4” Square, Doily Triple Layer, Boho Blossoms
Accessories: Piercing Tool, Matt Pack, Metallic Brads, Silver Brads, Frost White Shimmer Spritz (Shimmer Paint & Isocol), Snail Adhesive

As soon as I saw the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue I fell in love with so many of the projects, the new Framelits Labels Collection page 9, the Bordering on Romance Stamp Set page 11, the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders page 9.  My projects today were made using these lovely products plus a little Whisper White Organza Ribbon and some Watercolouring using markers.

I started off using the Heart Embossed Design from Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, paired it with the Twitterpated DSP.

I also made a matching purse/box using the Framelits Labels Collection Dies and some Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon.
