Blended Daisy Birthday

Hiya All
Here's a sweet little birthday card we made at Stamp Class this month using the new Stampin' Blends.  It's so fun to watercolour with these markers, they have been designed to use with the Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and with the Memento Tuxedo Black Archival Ink Pad.

When we made this in class each stamper got to pick their own set of colours as the DSP chosen would co-ordinate with any colour of daisy.  We stamped the sentiment in the same colour as the daisy was coloured.  We added a Clear Faceted Gem to the centre of the flower to finish it off and to break the harsh line where the DSP meets card stock we added the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon...so sweet.

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet, Daisy Delight
Inks: Calypso Coral, Memento Tuxedo Black
Card: Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Painted Autumn DSP
Punch: Daisy
Big Shot: Stitched Shape Framelits
Accessories: Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon, Clear Faceted Gems, Calypso Coral & Old Olive Stampin' Blends

Both stamp sets are available at 10% discount when purchased as a Bundle listed below:
Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set & Bouquet Bunch Framelits
Daisy Delight Stamp Set & Daisy Punch

Floral Lovely Heart

Hi All
Sorry I've been away for a bit, I got quite sick for a while and lost track of absolutely everything.  I made this card up to send to my lovely customers who ordered with me last month as a little thank you.

Because the DSP I chose was quite bold being floral with a Basic Black background I wanted to keep the rest of the card simple.  I chose to layer some Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon onto some Tangerine Tango and then onto the DSP layer.  I used the Lovely Words Thinlits to cut out the word "lovely" from Basic Black card and then coloured it with Clear Wink of Stella to continue the sparkly theme.

I layered the word lovely onto the Tangerine Tango Heart that I cut out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.  Then I stamped the word Hello from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set in Basic Black on the Heart and popped the heart on the card with Dimensionals.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Banners
Ink: Basic Black
Card: Tangerine Tango, Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Basic Black
Big Shot: Sweet & Sassy Framelits, Lovely Words Thinlits
Accessories: Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Tombow Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this card, if you like any of these products you can purchase them by contacting me.

Berry Birthday

Hiya All
Here's  quick and simple card showcasing the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Pick a Pattern Washi Tape.  I just love how striking this combination of Whisper White, Berry Burst and Basic Black look together.

I started off the design of this card with the Berry Burst Daisies, I stamped two and cut using the Daisy Punch adhered together so the petals were offset.  I added a Clear Faceted Gem for the centre of the Daisy.  I then decided I wanted a mostly Whisper White background so I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder to add some texture and then adhered the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape.

I stamped the greeting from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and punched out using the Classic Label Punch and played around with the placement of the flower and sentiment until I was happy with them.  Then I added the Basic Black card layer to give some colour contrast and then adhered to the Berry Burst card base.  A bright and beautiful birthday card to send to a special friend.

Inks: Berry Burst, Basic Black Archival

Lovely Heart

Hello Lovelies,
Hope your week is going well almost half way through now and onto the weekend.  I created this card to showcase the gorgeous designer series paper that Stampin' Up! designed for us.  I wanted to keep the design relatively simple so I paired it with the Lovely Words Thinlits.  These Thinlits are very versatile and are deigned to layer with the Sweet & Sassy, Layering Ovals & Layering Circles Framelits.

I decided to keep the colour scheme monochromatic with only Fresh Fig, Whisper White and the Silver Edge on the 3/8" Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon.  The touch of silver just lift's the colour scheme and plays so nicely off the Fresh Fig.  The Lovely word panel is popped up on dimensionals to give the whole card an extra sense of dimension... pun intended.

Stamps: Tabs for Everything
Inks: Fresh Fig
Card: Fresh Fig, Whisper White, Fresh Florals DSP
Punch: Classic Label
Big Shot: Lovely Words Thinlits
Accessories: 3/8" Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, Dimensionals, Adhesive

There are a couple of items used that are available at 10% discount when purchased as a Bundle.  They are:

  • Tabs for Everything Stamp Set and Circle Tab Punch
  • Lovely Words Thinlits and Lovely Inside and Out Stamp Set

Berry Petals

Hi All
You may have noticed there is a technique trending at the moment called the Eclipse Technique.  The basic premise is that you stamp your backgound area usually works best in Whisper White or Very Vanilla as the base card.  Then you cut out a section of the background area sometimes with large letters to spell a name or greeting or other times with a shape.

I went with a large shape in the case of the card below as I don't have the large letter dies.  Once you've stamped the background then you cut out the section with the dies/punches.  You adhere the largest section to your base card with adhesive and then pop the cut out section up on dimensionals being sure to line up the background pattern like a jigsaw.  Thus giving it an "Eclipse" look as you can see the background card through the popped up section.

Stamp Set: Painted Harvest, Special Celebrations, Burlap Background
Inks: Berry Burst, Sweet Sugarplum, Pear Pizazz, Old Olive
Card: Berry Burst, Whisper White
Big Shot: Stitched Shape Framelits
Accessories: 5/8" Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Adhesive, Dimensionals

The Painted Harvest Stamp Set is available with the Leaf Punch at 10% discount when purchased together as a bundle.

A Little Lift

Hi All
Sorry for missing a couple of posts, I have had a bit happening on the home front.  Hospital visits for my folks and a short day surgery for me also.  So I've been a bit overwhelmed and quite exhausted to be honest.  However we are almost back to normal again now and it's back to all the usual routines.  Here's a quick card I made as a thank you for the customers who placed orders with me last month.

For this card I wanted to keep it simple but change things up a little.  I wanted to try cutting the designer series paper on the angle.  I highlighted the colour from the DPS with a co-ordinating colour ribbon and stamped the sentiment in a co-ordinated colour also.  This is a great card to make if you wanted to make sets of cards using DSP as you can get two cards from the one lot of cutting, no wastage which is awesome.

Stamp Set: Lift Me Up
Card: Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Daisy Delight DSP
Ink: Always Artichoke
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Mini Glue Dots, Adhesive.

Cherry Blossom Birthday

Hiya All,
I am really enjoying spring at the moment, the flowers blooming and the increase in sunshine.  You've just got to love that right.  Here's my card as a quick nod to spring, Cherry Blossom's in Bloom using the gorgeous Sweet Sugarplum - I really love this colour it's such a nice shade between pink and purple.

First off I stamped the greeting in the centre of the Whisper White Layer and then cut out using the Circle from the Stitched Shape Framelits.  Then I used the outside that you'd normally discard or use as a mask.  I stamped the branches first in Soft Suede and lined up the Two Stepped Flower images over the branch.  I enjoy two step stamping using Photopolymer Stamps, it's so easy to line up the images so they stamp perfectly.  Then lastly I added some small corner cut outs punched with the Decorative Border Punch.

The sentiment is adhered straight to the card base and the outside frame is popped up using dimensionals, which is a little hard to see with the photo.  You could easily add a bit of Clear Wink of Stella, Pearls or Rhinestone's if you wanted to add some bling to this project.  I hope you enjoyed seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Stamp Set: Colourful Season, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink: Soft Suede, Sweet Sugarplum

Punches: Decorative Ribbon Border
Big Shot: Stitched Shapes Framelits

Swirly Thanks

Hi Stampers,
Here's the thank you card I gave to the ladies that ordered with me last month.  It uses a stamp set I've had for a while and haven't used as much as I should the Swirly Bird Stamp Set.  It's a set of simple images that can make some very impressive cards especially when you use it with the co-ordinating dies Swirly Scribbles.

The corners of the card were made with the new Everyday Label Punch which shows off the gorgeous Berry Burst card base.  For the Swirly Bird Flowers I stamped them in Berry Burst and also Powder Pink.  I stamped the flowers on diagonal corners so that I could leave a nice space of Whisper White.  I stamped the larger leaf in Pear Pizzaz and the smaller one in Old Olive.  Lastly I stamped the Thank You sentiment from Rose Wonder in Berry Burst and punched out using the Everyday Label Punch.  To add a bit of sparkle I added some Basic Pearl Jewels.

Stamp Set: Swirly Bird, Rose Wonder
Ink: Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive
Card: Berry Burst, Whisper White
Punches: Everyday Label
Accessories: Basic Pearl Jewels, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

Elegant Dragonfly

Hello Everyone,
Thought I'd share another Birthday card with you, using the elegant dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set.  Of course to make it simple I cut the image our using the co-ordinated Dragonfly Details Thinlits, I just love how Stampin' Up! makes crafting so easy by co-ordinating these products for us.  It really makes things simple and to be honest I don't always love to fussy cut.  For the lovely dotted background I used the dotted image from the same stamp set and stamped it in Pear Pizzaz and Marina Mist.  It's hard to tell from the photo but the wing of the dragonfly have been coloured with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Stamp Sets: Dragonfly Dreams, Birthday Blosssoms
Inks: Pear Pizzaz, Marina Mist, Dapper Denim
Card: Pear Pizzaz, Dapper Denim, Whisper White
Big Shot: Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits
Accessories: Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Adhesive, Dimensionals

Happy stamping, if you would like to purchase any of these items contact me or buy them at my online store.

Thanks a Bunch

Hi All
Here's a sweet card I made as a thank you card recently for customers placing an order with me.  One of the things I love most about Stampin' Up! is how all their products lines co-ordinate with one another.  The stamps and dies or punches, the colours and designer paper and accessories.  It makes creating cards and 3D project so easy and fun!

For this card I wanted to use the Circle Die Cut as the focal point.  I die cut the circle from Whisper White Card Stock using the Layering Circles Die.  Then I stamped the flower image from Oh So Eclectic using Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie using the Rock'n'Roll technique.  Then I stamped the Thanks sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet in Emerald Envy.  I layered a piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper onto a layer of Emerald Envy card onto Peekaboo Peach card base.  I cut a piece of Peekaboo Peach Ruffled Ribbon (retired) and folded over and adhered to the back of the Circle die.

Stamp Sets: Oh So Eclectic, Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, Emerald Envy
Card: Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, Whisper White, Naturally Eclectic DSP
Big Shot: Layering Circles Dies
Accessories: Peekaboo Peach Ruffled Ribbon (Retired), Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

Day 3 Thoughtful Branches

Hello Again
Well golly three days in a row and I've managed to blog three times, almost a personal best.  For those of you that know me I am a very novice gardener and can quite often forget to water my plants.   One of my favourite flowers is the hydrangea and I do have a long suffering plant that has managed to stick with me and bloom for about five years.  So this next card is one that I love and you guessed it features some hydrangeas.  I really love that this particular thinlit can be used as foliage and leaves for a tree and also as petals for a flower - gotta love that versatility.

To add a little depth to the layer behind the hydrangea's I stamped the Whisper White card with Soft Sky speckles from Gorgeous Grunge.  Then added some splatters of Gold Wink of Stella Glitter it's a bit hard to see from my photo but it's great in person.  Then lastly I embossed the layer using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.

Stamp Set: Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Soft Sky
Card: Soft Sky, Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum, Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzaz
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Brick Wall Embossing Folder, Precision Base Plate, Die Brush
Accessories: Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon, Gold Wink of Stella, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

Cheers & Happy Stamping

Gone but not Forgotten

Hey Everybody,
Sorry it's been a while in between posts, I've been a bit sick but I'm back on my feet again now.  Keep an eye on the blog as there are more posts coming soon to make up for the last two weeks I missed.  Sale-a-Bration may be over and gone but the "What I Love" stamp set still has plenty of uses.  Check out this sweet tag I made recently and paired with the Polka Dot Cone Bags from the Occassions Catalogue... yes those are Easter Eggs you spy in the bag.  We originally made these in class for my ladies as Easter Gift Ideas.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: What I Love, Timeless Textures, And Many More
Ink:  Blackberry Bliss, Pink Pirhouette, Rose Red, Mint Macaron
Card: Whister White
Punches: Word Window, Bitty Butterfly, Ornate Tag Topper
Accessories: White Bakers Twine, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Polka Dot Cone Cellophane Bag, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

# You might find it hard to spot the Timeless Textures we used the faded rectangular shape inked in Pink Pirhouette to soften the edges of the tag.

Happy Stamping

Beautiful Blue Birthday

Hey All
This card uses one of my favourite new stamp sets from the Occasions Catalogue - Timeless Textures.  This set is great for using in backgrounds and is very versatile.  I created this card as a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) card from page 7 of the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue.  I tried to use similar blue inks for the flowers and nice bright green inks for the leaves.

Project Recipe:
Stamps: What I Love, Sky is the Limit, Timeless Textures
Ink Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz
Card: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz
