A Little Wild

Hi Stampers,
The card I'm sharing today is a cute and softly toned card.  I fell in love with the A Little Wild Stamp set images they were just so cute with the front and back of the animals.  You could easily use this card for a child or for a baby card, the colours are soft and muted.  I've added to that effect by sponging around the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP), Soft Sky & Whisper White layers by sponge daubing the edges with Soft Sky ink, it really softens up the look of the card.

I kept to the circular theme portrayed in the DSP by punching out the focal image with the Starburst Punch and then the sentiment with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  I used my colours based from what was in the DSP pack.  I made a very similar card to this for a very good friend recently for the birth of her son, I did use the alternate greeting from the stamp set " A great big welcome for a sweet little someone".

Time for a Cuppa

Good Morning Everyone
Thought it was time for a cuppa, like most I enjoy a catching up with a friend over a cup of coffee - it's a great excuse to get together and chat.  This card was creating with that in mind.  I love the combination of blue's and browns together - I have the combination in my house as a testament to how much I love the combo.

To start off with I punched the strip of Crumb Cake on both long edges with the new Ticket Tear Punch.  I sponged the edges of the punched piece and the designer series paper layer with Crumb Cake.  I stamped the Coffee Cup, Sentiment and Lid onto Crumb Cake Ink and then I stamped the Coffee Cup and Lid onto Soft Sky card.  Then I used the Coffee Cups Framelits to cut out the cups and lids and also the belly band in Crumb Cake.  I sponged the Crumb Cake Belly Band in Crumb Cake and adhered to the Soft Sky Coffee Cup.

Birthday Balloons

Hello All
This is a card I made earlier on this year for my Dad's birthday.  Like many of you I sometimes struggle with masculine cards.  I love this colour combination and am very happy with how it turned out.

I started out with quite a bit of sponging to soften the edges of the card stock.  The Crumb Cake card base and Very Vanilla layer where sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  The Night of Navy layer was run through the big shot and the Dynamic Hexagons Textured Embossing Folder and then sponged with Night of Navy.  The Cherry Cobbler layer was punched with the Triple Banner Punch and then sponged with Cherry Cobbler.

I stamped the smaller balloon in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card first and then stamped the clouds in Night of Navy.  Then I stamped the larger balloon in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Very Vanilla and then die cut with Up & Away Thinlits.  The birthday sentiment was stamped using Night of Navy and the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Day 9 Thoughful Branches

Hello Again
Hope your weeks off to a fine start.  I love Tuesdays, it's got something to do with it not being Monday and being into the week I guess.  Anyway the card I'm sharing today is one of a set of six I made from a One Sheet Wonder.  In case your not aware of what that is you take a mix of images that you like and stamp them over an entire sheet of card as a background.  The card can be A5 or A4 depending on your size preferences.   I find that people newer to this technique prefer to start off with an A5 sheet of card it's a little less daunting.  Once you have stamped your background you then cut it up to make a whole stack of cards.  It's a wonderful way to make co-ordinated cards and can be quick and easy.

I knew as soon as I saw the cute leaves and bird images in this set that I was going to do a One Sheet Wonder with them.  All I had to do was decide on my colour combo, as you can see I went with Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe, so it was an In Colour party.  I must admit I like the pop of the Dapper Denim against the more subtle tones of the Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron, I hope you do too.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches
Ink: Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim, Tip Top Taupe
Card: Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Magnetic Platform
Punches: Triple Banner
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Mint Macaron Mini Striped Ribbon, Tear Tape Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Cheers Peggy
