Berry Birthday

Hiya All
Here's  quick and simple card showcasing the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Pick a Pattern Washi Tape.  I just love how striking this combination of Whisper White, Berry Burst and Basic Black look together.

I started off the design of this card with the Berry Burst Daisies, I stamped two and cut using the Daisy Punch adhered together so the petals were offset.  I added a Clear Faceted Gem for the centre of the Daisy.  I then decided I wanted a mostly Whisper White background so I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder to add some texture and then adhered the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape.

I stamped the greeting from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and punched out using the Classic Label Punch and played around with the placement of the flower and sentiment until I was happy with them.  Then I added the Basic Black card layer to give some colour contrast and then adhered to the Berry Burst card base.  A bright and beautiful birthday card to send to a special friend.

Stamps: Daisy Delight, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Inks: Berry Burst, Basic Black Archival

Floral Birthday

Hello All,
Here's a quick and easy birthday card we made in class recently.  I find it a challenge sometimes to keep cards simple but this one came together so easily I loved it.  That's my aim at the moment to make simpler cards, not that I don't love layers but sometimes it's nice to "keep it simple".

I stamped the floral image from the Wood Words Stamp set on the front of the Whisper White Card in Lemon Lime Twist.  I found when trying to stamp a larger odd shaped image as a background it's easier to start in the middle of the card and work my way out.  It's also nice to leave a few patches of white.

I embossed the layer of Lemon Lime Twist using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder this helps to add texture and depth to the card.  I stamped the Birthday Sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous onto a scrap of Whisper White and then punched out with the Pretty Label Punch and popped on some dimensionals and lastly I added some Rhinestones for a bit of bling.

Stamp Sets: Wood Words, Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Ink: Lemon Lime Twist
Card: Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist
Punch: Pretty Label
Big Shot: Petal Burst EF
Accessories: Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

# Please note the Wood Words Stamp Set is available as a Bundle with the Wood Crate Framelit Dies.  Also the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set is available as a Bundle with the Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies.  When products are purchased in a Bundle they are discounted by 10%.

Contact me if you'd like any of the above products and would like to purchase them.  They are also available at My Online Store.

Thanks a Bunch

Hi All
Here's a sweet card I made as a thank you card recently for customers placing an order with me.  One of the things I love most about Stampin' Up! is how all their products lines co-ordinate with one another.  The stamps and dies or punches, the colours and designer paper and accessories.  It makes creating cards and 3D project so easy and fun!

For this card I wanted to use the Circle Die Cut as the focal point.  I die cut the circle from Whisper White Card Stock using the Layering Circles Die.  Then I stamped the flower image from Oh So Eclectic using Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie using the Rock'n'Roll technique.  Then I stamped the Thanks sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet in Emerald Envy.  I layered a piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper onto a layer of Emerald Envy card onto Peekaboo Peach card base.  I cut a piece of Peekaboo Peach Ruffled Ribbon (retired) and folded over and adhered to the back of the Circle die.

Stamp Sets: Oh So Eclectic, Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, Emerald Envy
Card: Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, Whisper White, Naturally Eclectic DSP
Big Shot: Layering Circles Dies
Accessories: Peekaboo Peach Ruffled Ribbon (Retired), Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

# Products Available as a Bundle at 10% Discount
Oh So Eclectic and Eclectic Layers Framelits
Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set and Bouquet Bunch Framelits

Happy Stamping, hope you have an inky day!

Time for a Cuppa

Good Morning Everyone
Thought it was time for a cuppa, like most I enjoy a catching up with a friend over a cup of coffee - it's a great excuse to get together and chat.  This card was creating with that in mind.  I love the combination of blue's and browns together - I have the combination in my house as a testament to how much I love the combo.

To start off with I punched the strip of Crumb Cake on both long edges with the new Ticket Tear Punch.  I sponged the edges of the punched piece and the designer series paper layer with Crumb Cake.  I stamped the Coffee Cup, Sentiment and Lid onto Crumb Cake Ink and then I stamped the Coffee Cup and Lid onto Soft Sky card.  Then I used the Coffee Cups Framelits to cut out the cups and lids and also the belly band in Crumb Cake.  I sponged the Crumb Cake Belly Band in Crumb Cake and adhered to the Soft Sky Coffee Cup.

Stamps: Coffee Cafe
Inks: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Card: Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Coffee Break DSP
Punches: Ticket Tear Border
Big Shot: Coffee Cups Framelits
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

# Products Available in a Bundle at 10% Discount

Birthday Balloons

Hello All
This is a card I made earlier on this year for my Dad's birthday.  Like many of you I sometimes struggle with masculine cards.  I love this colour combination and am very happy with how it turned out.

I started out with quite a bit of sponging to soften the edges of the card stock.  The Crumb Cake card base and Very Vanilla layer where sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  The Night of Navy layer was run through the big shot and the Dynamic Hexagons Textured Embossing Folder and then sponged with Night of Navy.  The Cherry Cobbler layer was punched with the Triple Banner Punch and then sponged with Cherry Cobbler.

I stamped the smaller balloon in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla card first and then stamped the clouds in Night of Navy.  Then I stamped the larger balloon in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Very Vanilla and then die cut with Up & Away Thinlits.  The birthday sentiment was stamped using Night of Navy and the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Stamps: Lift Me Up
Inks: Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Card: Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Punches: Triple Banner
Big Shot: Up & Away Thinlits, Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder
Accessories: Sponge Daubers, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

Bremuda Dragonfly

Hi All
I just love the dragonfly image from Dragonfly Dreams and the co-ordinating die Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.  My aim with this card was to keep things relatively simple but as you can see I got caught up with my layers.  The dragonfly is stamped in Bermuda Bay on Whisper White then die cut.  Then layered onto Gold Metallic Thread and then onto a piece of Bermuda Bay cut with a circle from the Stitched Framelits.  I then stamped the Whisper White rectangle layer with the dotted image from Dragonfly Dreams in So Saffron.  The sentiment also from Dragonfly Dreams is stamped on the So Saffron card base in So Saffron.  For an added bit of sparkle I used Clear Wink of Stella on the Dragonfly Wings, it's a bit hard to see in the photo but it sparkles prettily.

Stamps: Dragonfly Dreams
Ink: Bermuda Bay, So Saffron
Card: So Saffron, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Big Shot: Stitched Framelits, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits
Accessories: Gold Metallic Thread, Clear Wink of Stella, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

Like anything you see here you can purchase them at my Online Store.

Day 31 Thoughtful Branches

Hello All
Today's card to share is a Christmas Card featuring the stand of three trees from... you guessed it the Thoughful Branches Stamp Set.  I stamped the tree's in Night of Navy on an oval cut using the Layering Ovals Thinlits.  I sponged around the edges with Marina Mist almost into the middle of the oval, then I sponged Night of Navy just around the edges of the oval.  I also cut out a larger oval in Night of Navy to layer the focal image oval on.

I fell in love the with Banner Greetings in the Time of Year Hostess Stamp Set and decided to stamp the Christmas Greeting in Night of Navy on a piece of Very Vanilla and then cut out using the Bunch of Banners Thinlits.  I punched the Marina Mist layer with the Triple Banner Punch and then sponged around the edge with Marina Mist.  I layered all the pieces together then added some dazzling diamonds to the trees with a Two Way Glue Pen and added some Basic Rhinestones for some extra sparkle.

Stamp Set: Thoughful Branches, Hostess Time of Year
Ink: Night of Navy, Marina Mist
Card: Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla
Big Shot: Layering Ovals, Bunch of Banners, Festive EF
Punch: Triple Banner
Accessories: Sponges, Two Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Basic Rhinestones, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

# The Two Way Glue Pen is now retired but you could easily ink the Stamp with Versamark then ink over the top with Night of Navy and then stamp the image.  Then use your Heat & Stick Powder and Heat Tool and Dazzling Diamonds to create a similar effect.

Day 30 Thoughtful Branches

Hiya Everyone
It's almost the end of the month only two more days left to purchase the exclusive Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  I've really enjoyed creating with this stamp set and thinlits this month.  I must admit I've really gotten my use out of the set.  Hopefully you've enjoyed seeing my creations with this bundle and the other wonderful samples by the many talented stampers using this set.  It's well worth every cent.

The card I'm sharing today is the second in a set I liked the birthday card and colour combination from yesterday so much I wanted to use it again.  Seeing as I had so much use out of the other leaf image I thought I'd give it a holiday and use the small branch/leaf image instead.  I continued on using the tone on tone stamping like I did yesterday.  However this time I incorporated an oval cut out using the layering ovals thinlits and added some Basic Pearls, which never go out of style.

Stamp Set: Thoughful Branches, Balloon Celebration
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry
Card: Pink Pirhouette, Very Vanilla, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry
Punch: Triple Banner
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Die Brush
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals, Tombow Glue

Day 29 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
The card I'm sharing today was inspired by a sketch I saw on Pinterest by Skipping Stones Designs SSD71 check out their blog here.  I love using sketches to help me spark my card creating process.  Sometimes I have a particular shape or image I'm trying to incorporate or sometimes I just want to try something different.

For this card I wanted a soft look with tone on tone colours offset by Very Vanilla.  I chose to use Rich Razzleberr, Sweet Sugarplum and Pink Pirhouette.  I stamped each of the coloured panels using the same colour ink except for the Pink Pirhouette the colour was too light so I used Blushing Bride to Stamp the leaf images.  I paired that with the curly cursive sentiment from Balloon Celebration and some die cut leaves from Beautiful Branches Thinlits.

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Balloon Celebration
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride
Card: Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Pink Pirhouette, Very Vanilla
Punch: Triple Banner
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Die Brush
Accessories: Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals, Tombow Glue, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Day 28 Thoughtful Branches

Hi Ladies
I have a Christmas Card to share with you today.  For this card I used the single tree image from Thoughtful Branches and paired it with the This Christmas DSP and the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.  A good tip when stamping this tree is to stamp the leaf image first and then line up the trunk and branches.  I added some Gold Glimmer Paper stars punched out using the Confetti Stars Punch.  I cut out the word "merry" using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and then brushed over Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and adhered vertically along the DSP.  I stamped the Christmas greeting from the Hostess Set Time of Year and cut out using the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Hostess Time of Year
Ink: Garden Green
Card: Garden Green, This Christmas DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Gold Glimmer Paper
Punch: Confetti Stars
Big Shot: Christmas Greetings Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits
Accessories: Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Tear Tape Adhesive, Tombow Glue, Dimensionals

Day 27 Thoughtful Branches

Hi Stampers
The card I'm sharing today is a birthday card and uses the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to provide subtle backgrounds and the Brick Wall Embossing Folder to complete the look.  I also used the card crumpling technique on the die cut petals to give them some dimension and shape. I stamped and cut two sets of petals to enhance the 3D effect.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Gorgeous Grunge, Birthday Blossoms
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Tip Top Taupe, Chocolate Chip
Card: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Day 26 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
Happy Friday, we are almost to the end of August and so far I'm keeping up with my goal to blog a new project each day using the Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  Today's card uses collage as the technique which is a technique I usually struggle with.  This time though I had something particular in mind I used Whisper White as the base card and maskes off all but a rectangular section in the middle.  I stamped my images in my chosen colours and used sponges to apply ink and blended the colours to my satisfaction.  A nice simple clean one layer card.

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Petite Petals, Grateful Bunch, Build a Birthday
Ink: Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant
Card: Whisper White
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Whisper White Organza Ribbon

Day 25 Thoughtful Branches

Hiya All
It's been a nice and busy week so far and I've still got a couple of days left to go.  I'm loving the new Holiday Catalogue and hoping to get some quality stamping time in this weekend playing with new goodies.  No you haven't missed it the Holiday Catalogue isn't actually out until 1st of September.  But one of the perks of being a Demonstrator is getting to see Catalogues and purchase products before the official release.  It's super exciting and fun and each and every time I fall in love with Stampin' Up! all over again.  I just love how everything co-ordinates they've taken all the hard work out of crafting, I just have to create and I love love love it!!!

Today's card uses a technique I like but only use occasionally where you have a landscape scene and cut it up into sections to look like co-ordated picture panels.   It was a fun card to create and I loved combining the use of the different punches and dies to create the images.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Timeless Textures

Day 24 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
For today's card I wanted bright and beautiful, big and bold.  I've used Peekaboo Peach and Melon Mambo for the Flowers, Cucumber Crush for the Leaves and Bermuda Bay for the Sentiment.  It's winter here and quite grey and gloomy so I was feeling the need for a bit of brightness in the card to make up for the lack of it in the skies.  This card certainly delivered on bright, bold and beautiful in my eyes.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

For the flower centre's I die cut the leaves/petals from Beautiful Branches and then punches out using the 1/2" Circle Punch and punched a 1/2" circle in Whisper White behind the Melon Mambo/Peekaboo Peach then adhered and used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add sparkle.  It's a bit hard to see in the photo but there are some textured grid lines from Timeless Texture stamped in Pool Party (I stamped 1 layer of colour off).

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Flower Shop, Timeless Textures, Birthday Blossoms
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Melon Mambo, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Card: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Melon Mambo
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Layering Ovals, Seaside EF

Hello All
Wow, what a long week it has been, so glad it's Sunday and I can chill out a bit today.  I hope you too get some chill time, be that on your own, with family or with friends.  Today's card is a Father's Day card and one that started off with an idea that popped in my head a little while ago.  The idea was to use some Pop of Pink Washi Tape the Gold sprinkles on Black and apply to Basic Black card stock and then cut out using the tree image from Beautiful Branches.  I so wanted to see that pop of gold on black and I must admit I'm very happy with how this idea turned out.

Day 19 Thoughtful Branches

Hello All,
In today's card I feature some of the products from the new Holiday Catalogue.  To give you a little taste of what is coming up in the new catalogue.  There are so many gorgeous goodies it's hard to know what to get first... at least that was my problem.  I have seen the idea to use the stamp images below to make flowers by a number of different people.  But in this instance I cased the idea from Connie Collins an Artisan Design Team Member, Connie's projects are gorgeous.

Day 16 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All,
For today I'm sharing the fourth card from my One Sheet Wonder Card Set.  As I've said before I love the simplicity and the easiness of making cards using this technique.  I hope you'll give it a try.  Don't you just love the new In Colour Dapper Denim.  I sure do I must admit I love the colour blue, light or dark it doesn't matter to me they are all lovely.  This colour reminds me a little of the retired Not Quite Navy which was a personal favourite.  These cards feature three In Colours the Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe.
