Day 31 Thoughtful Branches

Hello All
Today's card to share is a Christmas Card featuring the stand of three trees from... you guessed it the Thoughful Branches Stamp Set.  I stamped the tree's in Night of Navy on an oval cut using the Layering Ovals Thinlits.  I sponged around the edges with Marina Mist almost into the middle of the oval, then I sponged Night of Navy just around the edges of the oval.  I also cut out a larger oval in Night of Navy to layer the focal image oval on.

I fell in love the with Banner Greetings in the Time of Year Hostess Stamp Set and decided to stamp the Christmas Greeting in Night of Navy on a piece of Very Vanilla and then cut out using the Bunch of Banners Thinlits.  I punched the Marina Mist layer with the Triple Banner Punch and then sponged around the edge with Marina Mist.  I layered all the pieces together then added some dazzling diamonds to the trees with a Two Way Glue Pen and added some Basic Rhinestones for some extra sparkle.

Stamp Set: Thoughful Branches, Hostess Time of Year
Ink: Night of Navy, Marina Mist
Card: Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla
Big Shot: Layering Ovals, Bunch of Banners, Festive EF
Punch: Triple Banner
Accessories: Sponges, Two Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Basic Rhinestones, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

# The Two Way Glue Pen is now retired but you could easily ink the Stamp with Versamark then ink over the top with Night of Navy and then stamp the image.  Then use your Heat & Stick Powder and Heat Tool and Dazzling Diamonds to create a similar effect.

Day 30 Thoughtful Branches

Hiya Everyone
It's almost the end of the month only two more days left to purchase the exclusive Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  I've really enjoyed creating with this stamp set and thinlits this month.  I must admit I've really gotten my use out of the set.  Hopefully you've enjoyed seeing my creations with this bundle and the other wonderful samples by the many talented stampers using this set.  It's well worth every cent.

The card I'm sharing today is the second in a set I liked the birthday card and colour combination from yesterday so much I wanted to use it again.  Seeing as I had so much use out of the other leaf image I thought I'd give it a holiday and use the small branch/leaf image instead.  I continued on using the tone on tone stamping like I did yesterday.  However this time I incorporated an oval cut out using the layering ovals thinlits and added some Basic Pearls, which never go out of style.

Stamp Set: Thoughful Branches, Balloon Celebration
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry
Card: Pink Pirhouette, Very Vanilla, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry
Punch: Triple Banner
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Die Brush
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals, Tombow Glue

Day 29 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
The card I'm sharing today was inspired by a sketch I saw on Pinterest by Skipping Stones Designs SSD71 check out their blog here.  I love using sketches to help me spark my card creating process.  Sometimes I have a particular shape or image I'm trying to incorporate or sometimes I just want to try something different.

For this card I wanted a soft look with tone on tone colours offset by Very Vanilla.  I chose to use Rich Razzleberr, Sweet Sugarplum and Pink Pirhouette.  I stamped each of the coloured panels using the same colour ink except for the Pink Pirhouette the colour was too light so I used Blushing Bride to Stamp the leaf images.  I paired that with the curly cursive sentiment from Balloon Celebration and some die cut leaves from Beautiful Branches Thinlits.

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Balloon Celebration
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride
Card: Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Pink Pirhouette, Very Vanilla
Punch: Triple Banner

Day 28 Thoughtful Branches

Hi Ladies
I have a Christmas Card to share with you today.  For this card I used the single tree image from Thoughtful Branches and paired it with the This Christmas DSP and the Christmas Greetings Thinlits.  A good tip when stamping this tree is to stamp the leaf image first and then line up the trunk and branches.  I added some Gold Glimmer Paper stars punched out using the Confetti Stars Punch.  I cut out the word "merry" using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and then brushed over Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and adhered vertically along the DSP.  I stamped the Christmas greeting from the Hostess Set Time of Year and cut out using the Bunch of Banners Framelits.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Hostess Time of Year
Ink: Garden Green
Card: Garden Green, This Christmas DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Gold Glimmer Paper
Punch: Confetti Stars
Big Shot: Christmas Greetings Thinlits, Bunch of Banners Framelits
Accessories: Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Tear Tape Adhesive, Tombow Glue, Dimensionals

Day 27 Thoughtful Branches

Hi Stampers
The card I'm sharing today is a birthday card and uses the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set to provide subtle backgrounds and the Brick Wall Embossing Folder to complete the look.  I also used the card crumpling technique on the die cut petals to give them some dimension and shape. I stamped and cut two sets of petals to enhance the 3D effect.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Gorgeous Grunge, Birthday Blossoms
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Tip Top Taupe, Chocolate Chip
Card: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Die Brush, Brick Wall EF

Day 26 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
Happy Friday, we are almost to the end of August and so far I'm keeping up with my goal to blog a new project each day using the Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  Today's card uses collage as the technique which is a technique I usually struggle with.  This time though I had something particular in mind I used Whisper White as the base card and maskes off all but a rectangular section in the middle.  I stamped my images in my chosen colours and used sponges to apply ink and blended the colours to my satisfaction.  A nice simple clean one layer card.

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Petite Petals, Grateful Bunch, Build a Birthday
Ink: Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant
Card: Whisper White
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Whisper White Organza Ribbon

Day 25 Thoughtful Branches

Hiya All
It's been a nice and busy week so far and I've still got a couple of days left to go.  I'm loving the new Holiday Catalogue and hoping to get some quality stamping time in this weekend playing with new goodies.  No you haven't missed it the Holiday Catalogue isn't actually out until 1st of September.  But one of the perks of being a Demonstrator is getting to see Catalogues and purchase products before the official release.  It's super exciting and fun and each and every time I fall in love with Stampin' Up! all over again.  I just love how everything co-ordinates they've taken all the hard work out of crafting, I just have to create and I love love love it!!!

Today's card uses a technique I like but only use occasionally where you have a landscape scene and cut it up into sections to look like co-ordated picture panels.   It was a fun card to create and I loved combining the use of the different punches and dies to create the images.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Timeless Textures
Ink: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Soft Sky
Card: Marina Mist, Whisper White, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede, Garden Green
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches
Punches: Tree Builder, Blossom
Accessories: Sponge Dauber, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Tombow Glue, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer

Day 24 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
For today's card I wanted bright and beautiful, big and bold.  I've used Peekaboo Peach and Melon Mambo for the Flowers, Cucumber Crush for the Leaves and Bermuda Bay for the Sentiment.  It's winter here and quite grey and gloomy so I was feeling the need for a bit of brightness in the card to make up for the lack of it in the skies.  This card certainly delivered on bright, bold and beautiful in my eyes.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

For the flower centre's I die cut the leaves/petals from Beautiful Branches and then punches out using the 1/2" Circle Punch and punched a 1/2" circle in Whisper White behind the Melon Mambo/Peekaboo Peach then adhered and used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add sparkle.  It's a bit hard to see in the photo but there are some textured grid lines from Timeless Texture stamped in Pool Party (I stamped 1 layer of colour off).

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Flower Shop, Timeless Textures, Birthday Blossoms
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Melon Mambo, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Card: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Melon Mambo
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Layering Ovals, Seaside EF

Day 23 Thoughtful Branches

Hi Again
The card I'm sharing today is quite a simply one and uses the second leaf/branch image in the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set.  I haven't used purple colour schemes for a while and thought I'd use a nice simple two tone effect using Wisteria Wonder & Elegant Eggplant.  I'm not sure if you can tell but the Elegant Eggplant Leaves punched out using the Festive Flower Builder have Clear Wink of Stella on them for an added bit of sparkle.

Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Card: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant

Day 22 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
The project today is one I came up with after seeing some projects posted on Pinterest by various demonstrators using the Petal/Leaves Thinlit from Beautiful Branches as a Pumpkin.  It got me thinking... a lot of people associate pumpkin's with Halloween or Autumn.  Now I'm not one for Halloween personally, I'm glad other people enjoy it but it's not for me.  But to me the pumpkin always represents magic and possibilities associated with the Cinderella story.  The magic of what can happen if you take a chance and believe....  Let's hope we all have a magical week.

Card: Tangerine Tango, Emerald Envy

Day 21 Thoughtful Branches

Hello All
Wow, what a long week it has been, so glad it's Sunday and I can chill out a bit today.  I hope you too get some chill time, be that on your own, with family or with friends.  Today's card is a Father's Day card and one that started off with an idea that popped in my head a little while ago.  The idea was to use some Pop of Pink Washi Tape the Gold sprinkles on Black and apply to Basic Black card stock and then cut out using the tree image from Beautiful Branches.  I so wanted to see that pop of gold on black and I must admit I'm very happy with how this idea turned out.

Day 19 Thoughtful Branches

Hello All,
In today's card I feature some of the products from the new Holiday Catalogue.  To give you a little taste of what is coming up in the new catalogue.  There are so many gorgeous goodies it's hard to know what to get first... at least that was my problem.  I have seen the idea to use the stamp images below to make flowers by a number of different people.  But in this instance I cased the idea from Connie Collins an Artisan Design Team Member, Connie's projects are gorgeous.

Hiya Everyone,
Hope you are loving the limited release Thoughtful Branches Bundle available exclusively till 31st August.  It is a beautiful set and quite versatile, if you've seen pinterest at all recently it's been flooded with wonderful ideas for uses for this Stamp Set and Thinlits.  To show the versatility of the stamp set I've stamped the apple/cherry image but made it into an orange simply by stamping in pumpkin pie rather than a red.

Day 16 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All,
For today I'm sharing the fourth card from my One Sheet Wonder Card Set.  As I've said before I love the simplicity and the easiness of making cards using this technique.  I hope you'll give it a try.  Don't you just love the new In Colour Dapper Denim.  I sure do I must admit I love the colour blue, light or dark it doesn't matter to me they are all lovely.  This colour reminds me a little of the retired Not Quite Navy which was a personal favourite.  These cards feature three In Colours the Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe.

Day 15 Thoughtful Branches

Hello Stampers,
Hope your Monday is off to a fine start!  Monday's are always a little hard to get started and I admit Monday morning is not my best time, I try and make sure I have easy tasks for a Monday morning.  Let's hope it continues on to beautiful day!

Something I can enjoy wholeheartedly is sharing this next card with you.  I love the larger leaf stamp from Thoughtful Branches.  If you've been checking out my posts this month you'll notice I've used it quite a bit, it's so pretty.  Hope you like how I've used it on this next card.  I also used a combination of orange and red tones in the card as a variation on autumn tonings for the leaves.  The card base is Cherry Cobbler and the Hardwood Panel is Peekaboo Peach.  It doesn't look like it but that's probably my lighting and poor photo editing skills, however I am practicing I promise.

Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral, Watermelon Wonder, Cherry Cobbler

Day 14 Thoughtful Branches

Happy Sunday,
Today's card is the third one in the One Sheet Wonder Set that I made.  I love One Sheet Wonders it's so nice and easy to make multiple cards quickly.  A nice satisfying feeling especially if your sometimes short on time.  For this set of cards I chose to co-ordinate them with banners made using the Triple Banner punch I love how easy this punch makes creating multiple size banners.  No more off centre cut banners for me...

Day 13 Thoughtful Branches

Hello Everyone,
Here's another card I whipped up this week and a new colour combo I tried out.  I wanted to feature the new Peekaboo Peach as I sometimes have trouble including orange tones in my colour schemes.  I also wanted to use some Chocolate Chip because it's been a sorely neglected colour lately, for some reason I'm reaching for the Early Espresso or Tip Top Taupe instead.  Then to balance out those two colours I added in a little Cajun Craze, so it looked like an autumn theme colour scheme (rhyming unintended).  So you guessed it I used the gorgeous leaf stamp to pair them with from Thoughtful Branches.  Then I added a sentiment from Gift from the Garden which just seemed to beg to go with this card.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Gift from the Garden
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip
Card: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Cajun Craze

Hi All

Day 10 Thoughful Branches

Hi All
For my creation today I wanted simple and clean.  I had in my head the idea of the leaf image stamped in multiple colours and my first thought was autumn tones.  But I've used those tones before as it's a natural choice so I thought I'd mix it up.  I chose these colours as they are in the one colour collection and funnily enough my ink pads are stacked in this order Island Indigo, Night of Navy, Rose Red and then Perfect Plum.  I've always thought how pretty they are sitting there together so I thought this was the time to put ink to stamp and get them onto a card.  How do you pick your colours?  Even though you cannot see the sparkle I've brushed Clear Wink of Stella over each of the leaves to give them something extra.

Day 9 Thoughful Branches

Hello Again
Hope your weeks off to a fine start.  I love Tuesdays, it's got something to do with it not being Monday and being into the week I guess.  Anyway the card I'm sharing today is one of a set of six I made from a One Sheet Wonder.  In case your not aware of what that is you take a mix of images that you like and stamp them over an entire sheet of card as a background.  The card can be A5 or A4 depending on your size preferences.   I find that people newer to this technique prefer to start off with an A5 sheet of card it's a little less daunting.  Once you have stamped your background you then cut it up to make a whole stack of cards.  It's a wonderful way to make co-ordinated cards and can be quick and easy.

I knew as soon as I saw the cute leaves and bird images in this set that I was going to do a One Sheet Wonder with them.  All I had to do was decide on my colour combo, as you can see I went with Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe, so it was an In Colour party.  I must admit I like the pop of the Dapper Denim against the more subtle tones of the Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron, I hope you do too.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches
Ink: Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim, Tip Top Taupe
Card: Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White

Day 8 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
Well it's back to Monday once again, didn't the weekend just fly by.  I've got the third Christmas Card Design in the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack for you today.  The idea to turn the leaf image into a pointsettia was not mine, I saw many varieties and variations of this on pinterest and facebook, but I'm not sure who was the first with the idea. So to the creator of the original idea I gratefully give credit and thanks.   Let me know who you are and I can link to your blog or creation.

I created this card with my Mum in mind, she loves traditional Christmas colours and is a keen gardener so I thought the pointsettia would appeal to her.  This is also my favourite of the three cards because it's layered a little diagonally, which is a nice change for me.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Reason for the Season
Ink: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Card: Cherry Cobbler, This Christmas DSP, Garden Green, Very Vanilla

Day 7 Thoughtful Branches

Hi All
Don't you just love Sundays, I sure do it's the one day of the week I don't schedule anything for the morning.  Sunday mornings are just for my baby Adam (he's a daschund) and I to chill out together and get going at our own pace rather than rushing and getting here or there.  I hope you get to enjoy some time like that for yourself at some point during the week.

Today's card is the next one in the set for the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack I have coming up later this month.  Just as before the focal points were the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and This Christmas Specialty DSP.  Whenever I design cards for a Stamp-a-Stack I try and have the same colour scheme and at least some of the elements the same or similar.  With this Stamp-a-Stack each card has some Ovals from the Layering Ovals Set a plain and Scallop Oval.  There are also banners made using the Triple Banner Punch and also some sponging on each card.

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green

Day 6 Thoughtful Branches

Hello Again
I have another card to share and I must admit I moved out of my colour comfort zone with this one using orange tones of Pumpkin Pie (my favourite orange) and Peekaboo Peach.  These two colours work well against each other and paired with nice bright greens of Cucumber Crush and Emerald Envy create a nice bright scene.  But check it out for yourself... I'm loving these cute little birds.

Day 5 Thoughful Branches

Hiya All
Wow what a week it's turning out to be, super busy with regular work and stamp classes hiya ladies (wave).  I'm also feeling excited and challenged by my current blog and inspiration goal.  I'm enjoying the creating and most of the photo taking... although my card below doesn't show up to the best.  So I'd better keep trying and improving as I go.

I wanted to keep this card fairly simple and is using Flirty Flamingo although in the photo it looks more Calypso Coral or Peekaboo Peach.  Sorry about that... I'm hoping that you can see the Clear Wink of Stella sparkling back at you from the petals stamped on Whisper White.  It looks so pretty in person.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Basic Grey
Card: Flirty Flamingo, Basic Grey Whisper White

Christmas is Coming

Hi All
While I don't know exactly how long till Christmas I know it's getting closer.  In fact as I write this post I've got "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" running through my head.  Maybe in part that's because I've been playing with the This Christmas Specialty DSP featured on page 27 and 172 in the Annual Catalogue.  It's a nice set of traditional coloured themed DSP and it's wonderfully economical you receive 24 sheets in a pack 4 each of 6 double sided designs.  That's a lot of Christmas DSP to create projects with.

Stamp Sets: Thoughtful Branches, Embellished Ornaments
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler
Card: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, This Christmas DSP
Big Shot: Layering Ovals

This Christmas Card is for an upcoming Stamp-a-Stack and I've used This Christmas DSP with the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set as the main stars for this set of cards.  I've designed three cards in this series and we'll make two each of the three cards for a total of seven in class on Tuesday August 23rd.  Contact me if you'd like futher details.

The stamp set is a limited release only available 2nd - 31st August or while stocks last.  The stamp set can be purchased as a bundle with the co-ordinating Thinlits called Beautiful Branches (both pictured below).  As you can see from my cards so far it is a very versatile stamp set.

Day 3 Thoughtful Branches

Hello Again
Well golly three days in a row and I've managed to blog three times, almost a personal best.  For those of you that know me I am a very novice gardener and can quite often forget to water my plants.   One of my favourite flowers is the hydrangea and I do have a long suffering plant that has managed to stick with me and bloom for about five years.  So this next card is one that I love and you guessed it features some hydrangeas.  I really love that this particular thinlit can be used as foliage and leaves for a tree and also as petals for a flower - gotta love that versatility.

To add a little depth to the layer behind the hydrangea's I stamped the Whisper White card with Soft Sky speckles from Gorgeous Grunge.  Then added some splatters of Gold Wink of Stella Glitter it's a bit hard to see from my photo but it's great in person.  Then lastly I embossed the layer using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.

Stamp Set: Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Soft Sky
Card: Soft Sky, Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum, Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzaz
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches, Brick Wall Embossing Folder, Precision Base Plate, Die Brush
Accessories: Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon, Gold Wink of Stella, Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals

Day 2 Thoughtful Branches

Hiya All
Here's a card that the ladies attending my stamp club this week are doing.  It's a clean and simple design with an unusual color combo for me.  I hope you like it, I wanted to try something other than my usual blues, brownes or autumn tones.  Fathers day is coming up next month and I thought I'd be a little organised and get some ideas together early.  Gosh I just love the little birds in this stamp set and the co-ordinating thinlit - no fussy cutting here.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Thoughtful Banners
Inks: Basic Black Archival, Basic Grey Archival, Sahara Sand
Card: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Pop of Pink DSP
Punches: Project Life Corner Rounder, Duet Banner
Big Shot: Beautiful Branches Thinlits, Magnetic Platform, Die Brush
Accessories: Tear Tape Adhesive, Dimensionals, Two Way Glue Pen (retired) you could also use the Fine Tip Glue Pen

Cheers & Happy Stamping

Thoughtful Branches Begins

Hiya Everyone,
Long time no post... yes I've been absent again the main reason being a rather large renovation going on that meant no phone or internet connection.  Unfortunately I'm not tech savy enough to do blog posts from my phone.  But the renovations are completed and yay look fabulous.  So I now have time to create and get back to blogging.

My goal this month is to post each and every day of August featuring a project using the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set or Beautiful Branches Thinlits.  Both of these are a limited release promotion offered by Stampin' Up from 2nd-31st August or while stocks last.  I am very much in love with them and look forward to sharing some inspiration with you.  I look forward to sharing my creations focusing on this set with you.

So here's my first card which could be used for many occasions.  To give the tree a dense foliage I have stamped the leaves twice once in Always Artichoke and a second time in Pear Pizzaz rotating the stamp slightly.

Stamp Set: Thoughtful Branches, Thoughts & Prayers
Ink: Early Espresso, Delightful Dijon, Always Artichoke, Pear Pizzaz
Card: Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Moroccan Washi Tape, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tear Tape Adhesive

Cheers Peggy
